At Least 1 Killed in Head-On Collision on Highway 20 Sunday
Colusa, CA (July 14, 2021) – A fatal car crash occurred on Highway 20 on July 11, Sunday, the Press Democrat News reported.
Our sources indicated a 57-year-old man was behind the wheel of a 2014 Toyota Tacoma heading west on Highway 20.
When the Toyota approached the area near Highway 16, the driver allowed the car to veer into the opposite lanes. The Toyota ended up crashing head-on into an eastbound 2017 Dodge Durango.
The catastrophic incident took place at approximately 8 p.m.
Responding medical personnel found the driver of the Toyota unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, the man succumbed to his injuries and died.

Meanwhile, the 27-year-old Orland man driving the Dodge; and his four passengers all sustained injuries as a result of the incident. Authorities briefly identified the Dodge passengers as a 40-year-old woman, a 7-year-old boy and a 5-year-old girl.
The article published online mentioned helicopters airlifted the two children to UC Davis Medical Center for treatment. In addition, the female passenger was also taken by a helicopter to Kaiser Permanente Vacaville Medical Center with major injuries.
At this time, it remained unclear whether paramedics transported the driver of the Dodge to a hospital.
Further investigation on the fatal car crash in Colusa is underway.
