Multi-Vehicle Collision on Santa Ana (5) Freeway Friday
Commerce, CA (September 5, 2021) – At least one person suffered injuries following a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on Interstate 5, also known as Santa Ana Freeway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported multiple vehicles collided in the southbound side of Santa Ana (5) Freeway on September 3, Friday. Initial records indicated the wreck involved as many as three vehicles. Officials briefly described one car found at the scene as a white Lexus. Meanwhile, the make and model of the other two automobiles have not been revealed thus far.
At Least 1 Hurt in Commerce Hit-and-Run Crash, September 3
Shortly after 3:37 p.m., medical personnel arrived at the location. Paramedics rendered aid to at least one person found with injuries. At this time, the name of the victim and the extent of their trauma remained undisclosed.
The CHP dispatch later confirmed one of the three drivers fled the scene before police arrived. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the hit-and-and-run car crash in Commerce.
