At Least 1 Hurt in Collision on Highway 4 Wednesday
Concord, CA (October 23, 2021) – A suspected hit-and-run car crash occurred on State Route Highway 4 Wednesday, according to the California Highway Patrol dispatch.
Earlier reports indicated a black Nissan Altima collided with another vehicle in the eastbound side of SR-4. Per CHP log, the accident took place near the Port Chicago Highway offramp in Concord.
Shortly after 11:30 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. First responders found the Nissan Altima overturned on its roof. Firefighters worked extensively to pull out all parties from the disabled car.
The CHP log mentioned at least one person sustained injuries as a result of the wreck. Additional details on the victim have not been revealed thus far.
Hit-and-Run Car Crash in Concord, October 20
Investigators said the other vehicle fled the scene after the incident. No immediate information was available on the hit-and-run suspect.
At this time, detectives continue to work to determine several factors surrounding the car crash in Concord.
