1 Seriously Injured in Contra Costa County Crash on Vasco Road Near Camino Diablo
CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, CA (November 11, 2021) – A head-on crash seriously injured at least one person on Vasco Road near Camino Diablo.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the incident as a head-on collision on Thursday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the wreck shortly before 5:30 pm.
CHP said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason near the county line of Contra Costa County and Alameda County. They crashed on southbound Vasco Road, just south of Camino Diablo.
Multiple Vehicles Collide
The incident log described one of the cars involved as a silver Nissan Sentra. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene.
Medical personnel found one person who ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision. They then took the patient to a hospital for treatment.
CHP did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, the cause of the crash is still under investigation.
Officers forced the southbound Vasco Road to shut down near Camino Diablo for nearly two hours following the wreck.
