2 Trapped in Collision Near San Marco Boulevard
Contra Costa County, CA (August 29, 2022) – A traffic accident that occurred Monday on Highway 4 resulted in injuries, according to East County Today.
Earlier reports indicated multiple vehicles collided in the eastbound side of the highway in Contra Costa County. Authorities later mentioned the wreck involved as many as five automobiles. Preliminary investigation revealed the crash took place near San Marco Boulevard.
Major Car Accident on Highway 4 in Contra Costa County
Shortly after 3:20 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. The Contra Costa County Fire Protection District firefighters responded to the site and reportedly extricated two parties trapped in the mangled cars. Paramedics checked the conditions of the victims, and later transported at least one person to the hospital. The names of the people hurt, and their conditions at this time have not been revealed thus far.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole morning. They continue to investigate exactly how and why the traffic accident happened on Highway 4 in Contra Costa County.
