Motorcyclist On Foot Hit by Vehicle on Highway 4 Thursday
CONTRA COSTA, Ca (June 27, 2019) – A vehicle struck an unidentified man on Highway 4 Thursday afternoon, according to the California Highway Patrol log.
The accident happened Thursday at approximately 12:35 p.m.
Primary reports indicated a motorcycle rider stopped for unknown reasons on the eastbound side of the highway near Loveridge Road offramp. Then, the man apparently walked across the roadway towards the center divider. Consequently, a passing white construction truck failed to avoid the pedestrian and struck him.
At this time, the name of the motorcyclist and their condition after the collision remained unknown.
Additional details on the accident have not been discussed thus far. Investigators continue to determine exactly how and why the crash took place.
