Coraima Pasos, 28, ID’d as Suspect in San Rafael Hit-and-Run Crash
SAN RAFAEL, CA (November 19, 2021) – Authorities detained Coraima Pasos after a hit-and-run crash that seriously injured a motorcyclist in San Rafael.
Police identified the 28-year-old Novato woman as the suspect in the collision which took place last month.
The incident happened on October 16 when Coraima Pampin Pasos was driving an SUV in the city of San Rafael. For an unknown reason, she slammed into the motorcycle rider.
The car hit the victim at the intersection of Mission Avenue and Hetherton Street. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist left wounded on the ground.

The Marin Independent Journal wrote that the patient ended up suffering from major injuries as a result of the wreck. Medical personnel rushed the patient to a hospital for treatment.
The report did not disclose the name of the motorcyclist and their condition at this time. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the SUV did not stop to help the rider and then fled the area.
They located and arrested Coraima Pasos on suspicion of hit-and-run resulting in injury and driving with a suspended license.
Officers soon booked her at the Marin County Jail on violating the terms of probation, taking a vehicle without the owner’s consent and possession of drug paraphernalia.
The San Rafael hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
