At Least 1 Killed in Fiery Collision Near Green River Road Wednesday
Corona, CA (February 9, 2022) – A fatal car crash occurred Wednesday evening on State Route 91, the California Highway Patrol group reported.
At approximately 10 p.m. two vehicles collided in the westbound side of SR-91. The accident took place in the area near Green River Road in Corona. Officials described the cars involved in the wreck as a gray sedan, and an SUV.

Responding emergency crews found at least one car engulfed in flames. The CHP dispatch mentioned one person was left trapped in the fiery wreckage. When firefighters arrived at the location, they worked extensively to put out the fire and extricate the victim. Sadly, the unidentified party succumbed to their injuries and died. The name of the fatal victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Several factors surrounding the catastrophic incident have not been discussed thus far. At this time, detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly crash on State Route 91 in Corona.
