At Least 1 Hurt in Collision Near El Cerrito Road Saturday
Corona, CA (January 10, 2022) – On January 8, a suspected hit-and-run crash occurred on Interstate 15 near El Cerrito Road.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a traffic collision took place on the southbound lanes of I-15, also known as Corona Freeway. At this time, the exact number of cars involved in the wreck remained unknown.
Shortly after 3:20 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. Responding paramedics attended to all possible victims in the accident. After the evaluation, authorities confirmed at least one person suffered injuries as a result of the wreck. Officials continue to withhold the name and age of the victim pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, the CHP dispatch mentioned one party involved in the mishap fled the scene before police arrived. The hit-and-run suspect was last seen heading onto Temescal Canyon Road.
Further investigation is ongoing on the injury car crash on Interstate 15 in Corona.
