Man, 54, Killed in Costa Mesa Crash at Bear Street and Sunflower Avenue
COSTA MESA, CA (May 9, 2021) – A man died after a car crash at Bear Street and Sunflower Avenue in Costa Mesa.
According to an article published by The Orange County Register, the tragic accident occurred on Sunday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck at around 1:54 p.m.
Police said three vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Costa Mesa. They crashed at the intersection of Bear Street and Sunflower Avenue.
Rollover Collision in Costa Mesa
One of the cars involved then rolled over as a result of the collision. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded and soon pronounced one person involved dead at the scene.
Police described the deceased victim as a 54-year-old man. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, the report did not mention if any other party sustained injuries upon impact. Officials forced the intersection to shut down for a time following the wreck.
The cause of the fatal Costa Mesa crash is still under investigation.
