1 Killed in Rollover Collision Near Wasioja Road Monday
Cuyama, CA (November 29, 2021) – One person died following a traffic crash that occurred on Highway 166 Monday afternoon, the Lompoc Record News reported.
Preliminary investigation revealed an SUV drove off the side of the highway; in the area west of Wasioja Road. The catastrophic incident took place at approximately 1:30 p.m.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the SUV flipped on its roof about 50 feet down the west side of the highway. Officials mentioned the vehicle landed just east of School House Canyon Road.
First responders found one person outside the car, and a second party trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters at the scene worked extensively to extricate the victim.

According to the article published online, one person sadly died as a result of the accident. The name of the fatal victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
