Cynthia Vargas Killed in Roseville Motorcycle Crash at Sunrise and FrancisFatal DUI Collision at Sunrise Avenue and Francis Drive

Roseville, CA (April 14, 2022)Cynthia Juanita Vargas, a 46-year-old Sacramento resident, died following a suspected DUI crash that occurred in the area of Sunrise Avenue and Francis Drive.

The Golden County Media News reported a traffic accident took place at the intersection on April 7, Thursday. Our sources indicated a motorcycle crashed at Sunrise and Francis at approximately 2 a.m.

Cynthia Vargas Dies in Roseville Accident

When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found the driver of the motorbike and a woman both with injuries. Officials said it remained unclear if the female victim was also riding the motorcycle, or was a pedestrian. Bystanders reported attempted to perform first aid to the woman. Sadly, the female victim sadly succumbed to her injuries. Responding paramedics pronounced Cynthia Juanita Vargas deceased at the scene.

Detectives later discovered the motorcyclist was intoxicated at the time of the collision. For this reason, Roseville police took the man into custody for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated; and a felony Driving Under the Influence.

Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
