Dakotah Allsup and Sasha Paper, Both 21, Seriously Injured in Stanislaus County Crash
STANISLAUS COUNTY, CA (December 11, 2021) – A DUI crash left Dakotah Allsup and Sasha Paper seriously injured in Stanislaus County.
The California Highway Patrol identified the two 21-year-old women as victims in the collision which happened on Friday.
The incident began when Dakotah Allsup and Sasha Paper were riding as passengers in a Kia Forte in Stanislaus County. Their car was traveling at 60 to 70 mph at the time.
CHP said the Kia ran the two-way stop sign at the intersection of Monte Vista Road and Central Avenue. In the process, the car struck a big rig.
The Kia slammed into a wooden pole while the semi-truck crashed on a property and damaged a fence and a tree. The Modesto Bee wrote that the accident took place on December 10 at about 12:20 p.m.
DUI Driver Runs Stop Sign, Hits Big Rig
Dakotah Allsup, of Modesto, sustained broken ribs and arm while Sasha Paper, of Turlock, survived with a broken leg following the crash. A third passenger in the car, a 16-year-old Turlock girl, suffered facials cuts.
Air ambulance took Dakotah Allsup to Doctors Medical Center and listed her in critical condition. Paramedics transported the other patients to a hospital for treatment.
The operator of the big rig ended up with minor wounds. Meanwhile, CHP determined that the woman driving the Kia was under the influence of alcohol when she hit the truck.
They soon arrested her on suspicion of DUI. The Stanislaus County DUI crash is still under investigation.
