1 Killed, 1 Critical After Collision on South Atlantic Boulevard
MONTEREY PARK, Calif. (October 21, 2021) – Damian Cazares, 18, of Bloomington in San Bernardino County, died early Wednesday morning in a collision on South Atlantic Boulevard in Monterey Park.
Police report the a vehicle veered off the roadway and crashed into a building and overturned in the 100 block of South Atlantic Boulevard.
The deadly crash happened about 12:10 a.m. on Oct. 2oth, according to the Monterey Park Police Department.
Deadly Car Accident in Monterey Park
First responders located the injured teenager after he was partially ejected from the vehicle. However, despite life-saving measures, the young man identified as Damian Cazares died at the crash scene.
Meanwhile, a second person suffered major injuries as a result of the wreck. Paramedics transported the person by ambulance to the hospital for treatment.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the car accident in Monterey Park happened.
