Daniel Auner, 23, Charged With Murder in Torrance Collision at Crenshaw Boulevard and 190th Street
Torrance, CA (May 26, 2021) – Daniel Manuel Auner, a 23-year-old Los Angeles County sheriff’s deputy, was arrested in relation with a fatal car crash last summer.
According to My News LA, Daniel Auner was behind the wheel of a vehicle traveling on a highway in Torrance last July 8, 2021. When the driver approached the intersection at Crenshaw Boulevard and 190th Street, he lost control of the Dodge Charger.
Officials said the Dodge went over the median, and crossed two lanes of traffic. The vehicle came to a rest after hitting a pole at the corner of the junction.

Shortly after midnight, medical personnel arrived at the location and rendered aid to all possible victims. The article published online indicated a female passenger succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. Authorities added two other passengers, believed to be friends of Wells, sustained injuries from the collision.
The Los Angeles County District Attorney’s Office announced Wednesday Daniel Auner faces one count each of murder; and reckless driving on a highway causing injury; as well as an allegation of causing great bodily injury.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
