Passenger Killed in Motorcycle Accident at Union City Boulevard and Kohoutek Way
Union City, CA (February 5, 2022) – Police arrested 30-year-old Danielle Martinez in relation with a fatal DUI crash that occurred in the area of Union City Boulevard and Kohoutek Way.
The East Bay Times News reported Martinez was driving a motorbike with a 34-year-old passenger. When the motorcyclists approached the intersection of Union City Boulevard and Kohoutek Way, it crashed and fell down on the roadway.
The catastrophic incident took place on May 22, 2021.
When emergency crews arrived at the location, they immediately rendered aid to both Martinez and the passenger. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victim but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and died.
Meanwhile, investigators later discovered Danielle Martinez was intoxicated at the time of the collision. Given that, police arrested the suspect and charged her with manslaughter and drunk driving.
Further investigation on the case is underway.
