2 Killed, 1 Hospitalized in Collision Near Valley Boulevard Offramp Friday
El Sereno, CA (March 5, 2022) – David Ayala, and Joel Frias died following a traffic accident that occurred on Long Beach (710) Freeway on March 4, Friday.
According to My News LA, 20-year-old Ayala and 25-year-old Frias were in an SUV traveling at a high rate of speed on I-710. When the vehicle approached Valley Boulevard offramp, the SUV crashed into a concrete curb and a recycling center. The catastrophic incident took place at about 12:47 a.m.

Emergency crews arrived at the location and found two people unconscious. Despite life-saving measures, the two men sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. The Los Angeles County coroner’s office identified the deceased parties as David Ayala, and Joel Frias, both of Los Angeles.
Authorities added another occupant in the SUV, a 24-year-old man, sustained major trauma as a result of the wreck. Responding paramedics transported the patient to Los Angeles County + USC Medical Center for treatment.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
