San Diego Man Dies in Aircraft Accident on Garlock Road Friday
Garlock, CA (November 18, 2021) – David Joseph Moynihan, a 31-year-old San Diego resident, suffered fatal injuries following a plane crash that occurred on Garlock Road Friday afternoon.
The KGET News reported a two-seater plane plunged down the open desert north of Garlock Road. Our sources indicated the accident took place just west of Highway 395.

According to the article published online, two people sadly died as a result of the crash. The Kern County coroner’s office later identified one fatality as David Joseph Moynihan, of San Diego. It remained unclear whether Moynihan was the pilot, or the passenger in the plane when the catastrophic incident happened.
Several factors surrounding the unfortunate event remained unclear. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the precise cause of the deadly plane crash near Garlock Road. Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
