1 Killed, 2 Hurt in Collision on Highway 1
Moss Landing, CA (May 9, 2022) – David Ramirez, and Monica Gonitz both suffered injuries following a car accident that occurred on Highway 1 Saturday.
According to KSBW News, two vehicles collided into each other on the highway near Portrero Road Saturday afternoon. Earlier reports indicated 31-year-old Gonitz, of San Jose, was driving a vehicle heading north on Highway 1. For reasons still unclear, Gonitz crossed the yellow lines and collided into another car.
The article published online confirmed the driver of the second car sustained fatal injuries as a result of the wreck. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.

Authorities added Monica Gonitz and her passenger–32-year-old David Ramirez, both sustained injuries in the accident. The conditions at this time of the two people have not been discussed thus far.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole afternoon. They continue to investigate exactly how and why the deadly crash happened on Highway 1 in Moss Landing.
