David Zinnel, 52, Killed in Citrus Heights Crash on Auburn Boulevard
CITRUS HEIGHTS, CA (October 16, 2022) – David Zinnel was killed after a motorcycle crash on Auburn Boulevard in Citrus Heights.
The coroner’s office identified the 52-year-old Carmichael man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Friday.
The incident happened when David Paul Zinnel was riding a motorcycle along Auburn Boulevard in Citrus Heights. For an unknown reason, he collided with another vehicle.
Police said the two crashed in the 8100 block of Auburn Boulevard. The Sacramento Bee and ABC 10 News wrote that the accident occurred on October 14 at around 8 p.m.
Motorcycle and Vehicle Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and then found the motorcyclist lying on the ground. He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel soon pronounced David Zinnel dead at the scene of the crash. Meanwhile, police added that the other driver stopped and stayed at the site following the incident.
Officers forced the road to shut down near Rollingwood Boulevard and Sandalwood Drive for about five hours after the wreck.
