Bicycle Rider Seriously Injured in Davis Crash at Third and L Streets
DAVIS, CA (December 4, 2021) – A bicycle rider was seriously injured after a crash at Third and L streets in Davis.
According to an article published by The Davis Enterprise, the accident took place on Wednesday morning. Officers reported the wreck at about 9 a.m.
The incident happened on December 1 when a 19-year-old man was riding a bicycle westbound on Third Street, approaching L Street, in Davis. At the same time, a vehicle was going north on L.

Police said the driver then struck the bicyclist who made a left turn onto L Street. The rider ended up ejected from the bike and hit the windshield of the car.
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the victim down on the ground. He sustained major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel rushed the patient to the UC Davis Medical Center for treatment. The report did not disclose his name and condition at this time.
Meanwhile, police cited the 28-year-old Davis woman driving the car for failing to yield the right of way to the bicycle. She told them that she did not see the cyclist and slammed into him.
Officers forced the area of Third and L streets to shut down following the incident. The cause of the Davis crash is still under investigation.
