2-Vehicle Collision on Interstate 80 Freeway Saturday
Davis, CA (September 11, 2021) – The California Highway Patrol group reported a suspected hit-and-run crash that occurred on the Interstate 80 Saturday evening.
Initial records indicated two vehicles collided in the westbound side of 80 Freeway. Per CHP log, the accident took place near the Richards Boulevard offramp in Davis.
Emergency crews arrived at the crash site shortly after 7:30 p.m. First responders found a red Honda sedan slammed against the concrete wall along the right-hand shoulder of the freeway. Officials later confirmed the other automobile involved in the incident fled the scene before police arrived.

According to the CHP dispatch, at least one person was left at the scene with injuries. Paramedics attended to the victim, but the extent of their trauma remained unknown.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the hit-and-run car crash in Davis.
