Female Cyclist Dies at Hospital After Collision Near Elsie Avenue
Sacramento, CA (December 15, 2022) – A woman riding a bicycle suffered fatal injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Power Inn Road, the FOX40 News reported.
Our sources indicated the cyclist was riding around the streets of South Sacramento Thursday afternoon. In the area near Elsie Avenue, a vehicle struck the woman on a bike. The make and model of the car involved in the catastrophic incident have not been revealed thus far.
Fatal Bicycle vs. Car Crash on Power Inn Road in South Sacramento
Shortly after 5:24 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the female cyclist suffering in serious injuries. According to the article published online, emergency crews rushed the victim to a local hospital. The patient later sadly succumbed to her injuries and passed away. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
The California Highway Patrol group mentioned the driver involved in the horrible crash stayed at the scene and cooperated with the investigation process. At this time, detectives continue to work to determine the precise circumstances that led up to the deadly accident on Power Inn Road in South Sacramento.
