3 Teenagers Killed in Solo-Car Crash on Poleta Road Thursday
Rawson, CA (October 30, 2021) – Several people died following a car accident that occurred on Poleta Road Thursday night, the Inyo Register News reported.
Per article published online, a silver Honda Accord was traveling south on a dirt road near Rawson Pond. When the solo-vehicle approached the Rawson Canal, the driver allowed the vehicle to veer off the roadway. As a result, the Honda Accord flipped and rolled down a canal. First responders found the car submerged in water.
Fatal Car Accident Near Rawson Pond, October 28
The horrible collision took place on October 28, Thursday.
When rescue teams arrived at the location, they immediately worked to pull out the driver and the passengers. Paramedics performed life-saving measures to the victims, but they all sadly died.
The California Highway Patrol group described the deceased as teenagers from Bishop–a 19, 16, and 15-year-old. Inyo County Coroner’s Office continue to withhold the names of the fatal victims pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.
Investigators continue to work at this time to determine several factors surrounding the car accident on Poleta Road.
