1 Injured in Delano Hit-and-Run Crash on Highway 99 at Cecil Avenue

DELANO, CA (January 23, 2022) – A hit-and-run crash injured at least one person on Highway 99 and Cecil Avenue in Delano.

The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Saturday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on January 22 at about 1:08 p.m.

CHP said the incident happened when two vehicles collided for an unknown reason in Delano. They crashed on northbound Highway 99 at Cecil Avenue.

2 Vehicles Collide

Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They found one person who ended up hurt as a result of the collision.

Medical personnel provided aid to the victim for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the wreck. The name of the wounded patient and their condition at this time were not released.

Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that a driver involved did not stop to help and then fled the area. Officers forced the northbound Highway 99 at Cecil to shut down following the incident.

The cause of the Delano hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
