Pedestrian Killed in Desert Hot Springs Crash at Palm and Estrella
DESERT HOT SPRINGS, CA (January 31, 2022) – A crash killed a pedestrian at Palm Drive and Estrella Avenue in Desert Hot Springs.
According to The Desert Sun and My News LA, the tragic accident took place on Saturday night. Officers reported the collision shortly before 10:30 p.m.
The incident happened on January 29 when a male pedestrian was walking on Estrella Avenue across Palm Drive in Desert Hot Springs. At the same time, a sedan was going north on Palm.
Police said for an unknown reason, the car struck him. Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the 29-year-old Desert Hot Springs man lying on the ground.

He sustained serious injuries as a result of the collision. Medical personnel then rushed the victim to the Desert Regional Medical Center, where he died.
His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver of the sedan stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the man.
The 67-year-old Desert Hot Springs woman told officers that she failed to see the pedestrian on the road and hit him. Police forced the area of Palm and Estrella to shut down for a time following the collision.
The cause of the fatal crash is still under investigation.
