Desirae Corral, 26, ID’d as Suspect in Victorville Fatal DUI Hit-and-Run Crash
VICTORVILLE, CA (January 1, 2022) – Authorities detained Desirae Corral after a fatal DUI hit-and-run crash in Victorville.
Police determined that the 26-year-old Victorville woman was under the influence when she killed a pedestrian on Friday.
The incident happened when Desirae Monique Corral was driving west on Bear Valley Road in Victorville. At the same time, Marcos Amay was walking south across the street.
Deputies said Desirae Corral then struck the 42-year-old Hesperia man at the intersection with Hesperia Road. The Victor Valley News wrote that the accident took place on New Year’s Eve at about 11:58 p.m.

Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found Marcos Amay left suffering from serious injuries as a result of the collision. He died at the scene.
Meanwhile, officers affirmed that Desirae Corral did not stop to render aid to the man and fled the area. They soon located her and arrested her for gross vehicular manslaughter while intoxicated.
Police charged Desirae Corral with DUI causing death and hit-and-run resulting in death. They booked her at the High Desert Detention Center in lieu of a $250,000 bail.
The Victorville DUI hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
