Fatal Crash on Deschutes Road

SHASTA COUNTY, Calif. (April 23, 2024) — Diana Floyd, 74, died after being struck by a detached flatbed truck trailer that crashed into a home at Ball’s Ferry Mini Storage on Deschutes Road.

The woman was inside an Anderson home when the crash occurred at about 4 p.m. on Thursday, April 21st, according to CHP Redding and ABC 7 News.

Police responded to the trailer became detached from a truck traveling along Deschutes Road and crashed onto a business property.

The woman was transported to Mercy Medical Center in Redding with major injuries, but later died on Saturday, April 21st, the CHP Redding said.

The case remains under investigation.
