Major Injury Collision Near Highway 113
Dixon, CA (July 3, 2022) – At least one person suffered injuries following a traffic crash that occurred on Interstate 80, also known as Dwight Eisenhower Highway.
The California Highway Patrol group reported a man riding a motorcycle collided with a white Ford Fiesta in the eastbound side of I-80. Officials said the accident took place near the connecting ramp onto State Route Highway 113 in Dixon.
CHP logged the case Saturday around 2:51 a.m.
Rider Hospitalized After Crash on Interstate 80 in Dixon
When rescue medical personnel arrived at the location, they found the rider ejected near the center divider of the freeway. Responding paramedics rendered aid to the victim, and later transported them to the hospital for further treatment and evaluation. The name of the patient remained undisclosed pending confirmation.
Meanwhile, authorities mentioned the sedan sustained significant damage due to the force from the impact. A tow truck was requested to clear the wreckage.
Investigators continue to work to determine exactly how and why the crash happened on Interstate 80 in Dixon.
