Man in Wheelchair, Donald Greco, Killed in Palm Springs Crash on Sunrise Way
PALM SPRINGS, CA (August 4, 2021) – A man in a wheelchair, Donald Greco, was killed after a crash on Sunrise Way in Palm Springs.
The coroner’s office identified the 59-year-old Palm Springs man as the victim of the accident which took place on Wednesday morning.
The incident happened when the man in a wheelchair, Donald Greco, was in a crosswalk on North Sunrise Way in Palm Springs.

Police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him between East Vista Chino and Sandalwood Way. KESQ News and My News LA wrote that the collision occurred at around 5:30 a.m.
Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and found the man in the roadway as a result of the accident. Donald Greco died at the scene of the Palm Springs crash.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the driver stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the pedestrian. Officers forced the road to shut down for several hours following the incident.
The cause of the fatal Palm Springs crash is still under investigation.
