2 Trapped, Injured in Car Crash on Patton Road Wednesday
Downey, CA (June 17, 2021) – Two people suffered injuries following a car accident on Patton Road Wednesday morning, according to On Scene TV.
Primary reports indicated a Ford Explorer with two occupants was traveling on the streets of Downey. For reasons still unclear, the driver of the Ford allowed the vehicle to veer off the roadway. The Ford eventually slammed into a fire hydrant and a power pole along Patton Road.

When rescue teams arrived at the location, they found two people trapped in the wreckage. Firefighters worked extensively to free the two victims. After the successful extrication, paramedics rendered aid to the injured man and woman. The names of the victims, and their condition at this time remained undisclosed.
Authorities mentioned a third male declined medical transport after the incident.
At this time, detectives continue to investigate exactly how and why the car accident in Downey happened.
