At Least 1 Killed in Collision Near Alcosta Boulevard
Dublin, CA (November 12, 2022) – Two people died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 680 Freeway Saturday, the East Bay Times News reported.
Our sources indicated multiple vehicles collided on the freeway just north of Alcosta Boulevard. Preliminary investigation revealed a Mercedes-Benz C230 veered off the roadway for an unknown reason; and ended up crashing into the divider wall along the southbound lanes of I-680.
Officials said an oncoming car, a Ford Fusion, hit the disabled Mercedes. The force from the impact caused the driver of the Mercedes-Benz C230 to be ejected onto the right lane of the freeway. According to the article published online, a semi truck run over the thrown person, and came to a rest after hitting at least another vehicle.
Deadly Car Accident on Interstate 680 in Dublin
Shortly after 3 a.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics sadly pronounced the driver of the Mercedes-Benz C230 dead. Pending confirmation and notification of next of kin, the identity of the deceased remained undisclosed.
Detectives continue to investigate the precise cause of the deadly accident that happened on Interstate 680 in Dublin.
