
Dylan Magnant, 27, Killed in Apple Valley Pedestrian Crash on State Highway 18
APPLE VALLEY, CA (March 16, 2023) – Dylan Magnant was killed after a pedestrian crash on State Highway 18 in Apple Valley.
The coroner’s office identified the 27-year-old Apple Valley man as the victim in the fatal accident which took place on Wednesday.
The incident happened when Dylan Austin Magnant was walking in the No. 2 eastbound lane of State Highway 18 in Apple Valley. A 2003 GMC Yukon was going east in the same line at the time.
Man Hit by Car
For an unknown reason, the car struck him between the intersections of Symeron Road and Rancherias Road. The Victor Valley News write the collision occurred on March 15 at about 12:23 a.m.
Deputies said Dylan Magnant sustained major injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident. Paramedics arrived and soon pronounced him dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, the driver of the GMC stopped and stayed at the site following the incident. Officers forced the eastbound lanes of Highway 18 to shut down for two hours after the collision.
