Fatal Collision at Trouville Avenue and 13th Street
Grover Beach, CA (August 1, 2022) – Dylan Tyler Smith, a 29-year-old man, died following a traffic accident that occurred in the area of Trouville Avenue and 13th Street.
The KSBY News reported a fire truck and an electric bike collided at the intersection in Grover Beach. Preliminary investigation revealed Smith was riding on an electric bike and drove through the intersection at the same time as the fire truck. The force from the impact ejected Smith from his bike.
Official said the crash took place on July 27, Wednesday.
Motorcyclist Dies in Grover Beach Traffic Accident
Shortly after 10:20 p.m., rescue teams arrived at the location. Responding paramedics found the motorcyclist lying on the ground. Medical personnel rushed the victim to a local hospital, where he later sadly succumbed to his injuries and passed away.
The California Highway Patrol ground identified the deceased as Dylan Tyler Smith, of Arroyo Grande.
Meanwhile, the three fire crew members involved in the incident appeared unharmed.
Detectives stayed at the scene the whole night. They continue to investigate the precise cause of the collision at Trouville Avenue and 13th Street in Grover Beach.
