Man Killed in East Hollywood Hit-and-Run Crash Near Melrose and Edgemont
LOS ANGELES, CA (May 8, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash killed a pedestrian near Melrose Avenue and Edgemont Street in East Hollywood.
According to an article published by the KTLA News, the tragic accident occurred on Saturday morning. Officers reported the incident at about 5:26 a.m.
Police said a vehicle struck a male pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit him near the intersection of Melrose Avenue and North Edgemont Street in East Hollywood.

Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene. They then found the man in his 20s left lying on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel confirmed that the victim died. His name has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin.
Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid and soon fled the area. Officials described the car involved as a black colored sedan.
Authorities are still searching for the suspect. They forced the roadway to shut down following the collision. The fatal East Hollywood hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
