Man, 78, Severely Injured in East Hollywood Hit-and-Run at Lexington and Vermont
LOS ANGELES, CA (April 30, 2021) – A hit-and-run crash severely injured a pedestrian at Lexington Avenue and Vermont Avenue in East Hollywood.
According to an article published by the NBC Los Angeles, the accident occurred on Friday morning. Officers reported the collision at about 7:35 a.m.
The incident happened when a 78-year-old man was crossing Lexington Avenue at Vermont Avenue in the East Hollywood neighborhood. At the same time, a vehicle ran a red light.
Police said the driver then struck the elderly pedestrian at the intersection. Firefighters along with the paramedics responded to the scene and found the victim left lying on the ground.

He ended up suffering from severe injuries as a result of the accident. Medical personnel soon rushed him to a hospital and listed him in stable condition.
The name of the wounded patient was not disclosed. Meanwhile, police affirmed that the motorist did not stop to render aid to the elderly man and fled the area.
Officials described the car involved as possibly a 2010-2015 dark-colored Mazda CX-7. Authorities are still searching for the suspect.
