Pedestrian Injured in East Los Angeles Hit-and-Run Crash on Hillview Avenue
EAST LOS ANGELES, CA (February 5, 2022) – A pedestrian was injured after a hit-and-run crash on Hillview Avenue in East Los Angeles.
The California Highway Patrol first logged the accident on Tuesday afternoon. According to their dispatch, officers reported the collision at about 2:19 p.m.
The incident happened on February 1 when a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at 758 South Hillview Avenue in in East Los Angeles.
Victim Hit by Vehicle
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near Whittier Boulevard. They found the victim hurt as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then provided treatment to the patient for the unspecified injuries they sustained in the accident. The report did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Hillview Avenue to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the East Los Angeles hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
