Pedestrian Injured in East San Gabriel Hit-and-Run Crash on Rosemead Boulevard
EAST SAN GABRIEL, CA (February 15, 2022) – A pedestrian was hospitalized after a hit-and-run crash on Rosemead Boulevard in East San Gabriel.
According to the California Highway Patrol dispatch team, the accident took place on Tuesday night. Officers reported the collision at about 9:41 p.m.
CHP said a vehicle struck the pedestrian for an unknown reason. The driver hit the person at 7232 Rosemead Boulevard in East San Gabriel.
Driver Hits Victim, Flees Scene
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene near East Fairview Avenue. They found the victim down on the ground as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the patient to a hospital for treatment of unspecified injuries. The report did not disclose the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP affirmed that the motorist did not stop to help the victim and fled the area. Officers forced a stretch of Rosemead Boulevard to shut down following the collision.
The cause of the East San Gabriel hit-and-run crash is still under investigation.
