4 Killed in Crash on Highway 41 in Madera County
MADERA COUNTY, Calif. (April 21, 2022) — Edgar Garza Jr., 28; and Jovonie Gonzales, 30, were identified as two of four Fresno residents who died in a head-on crash earlier this month on Highway 41.
Two others killed in the April 8 crash are Danielle Mesta, 33, and a 16-year-old girl, according to the Fresno Bee and the the Madera County Coroner’s Office.
The drivers of a black Honda Accord and a Scion tC were traveling in opposite directions. For unknown reasons, they collided in the fiery, head-on crash around midnight on State Route 41 in Madera County. The vehicles caught on fire and two people were trapped in each vehicle. It took two weeks for the coroner to identify the victims due to the fiery crash.
The cause of the collision remains under investigaton.
