1 Killed in El Dorado County Crash on Highway 50 Near Ice House
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (March 2, 2023) – A crash killed at least one person on Highway 50 near Ice House Road in El Dorado County.
According to an article published by the KCRA News, the tragic accident took place on Thursday afternoon. Officers reported the wreck on March 2 at around 3:20 p.m.
The California Highway Patrol said the incident happened when two cars collided in El Dorado County. The vehicles crashed for an unknown reason on Highway 50 near Ice House Road.
2 Vehicles Collide
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene. They confirmed that one individual died as a result of the collision.
The name of the deceased party has not been yet released pending notification of next of kin. The report did not mention if any other party ended up hurt following the wreck.
Meanwhile, CHP forced the Highway 50 to shut down in both directions near Ice House after the incident. The cause of the fatal El Dorado County crash is still under investigation.
