Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in El Dorado County Crash at Ice House and Pickett Pen
EL DORADO COUNTY, CA (May 28, 2021) – A crash seriously injured a motorcyclist at Ice House and Pickett Pen roads in El Dorado County.
The California Highway Patrol received a call about the accident on Friday afternoon. According to their dispatch team, officers reported the wreck at around 5:07 p.m. near the Jones Place community.
CHP said a truck and the motorcycle rider collided for an unknown reason in El Dorado County. The two crashed at the intersection of Ice House and Pickett Pen roads.
Motorcycle and Truck Collide Near Camp Ground
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon responded to the scene near the Camino Cove Camp Grounds. They found the motorcyclist suffering from major injuries as a result of the collision.
Medical personnel then took the wounded party to a hospital for treatment. The name of the patient and their condition at this time were not released.
Meanwhile, CHP blocked the area of Ice House and Pickett Pen following the wreck. They did not mention if the driver of the truck sustained any wound or if they stopped after the collision.
Authorities are still determining the cause of the El Dorado County crash.
