Fiery Collision Near Laguna Boulevard Sunday
Elk Grove, CA (January 16, 2022) – Police continue to search for the suspect in a hit-and-run crash that occurred Sunday on Highway 99, the CBS News reported.
Our sources indicated a silver Hyundai was seen traveling at a high-rate of speed on the highway in Elk Grove. When the Hyundai approached the area near Laguna Boulevard, it struck a minivan traveling in the same direction.
The force from the impact caused the minivan to swerve across the traffic lanes, and slam against the center divider. First responders found the minivan fully engulfed in flames.
According to the article published online, the occupants managed to extricate themselves from the burning vehicle. Paramedics rendered aid to the the injured parties at the scene.
Meanwhile, officials mentioned the Hyundai also flipped over during the accident. The Hyundai driver apparently fled the scene before police could detain him.
Investigators stayed at the crash site the whole afternoon to determine several unclear factors surrounding the hit-and-run crash on Highway 99 in Elk Grove.
