Elk Grove crash Highway 99
Motorcyclist Seriously Injured in Elk Grove Crash on Highway 99 Near Stockton Boulevard
ELK GROVE, CA (October 3, 2021) – A motorcyclist was seriously injured after a crash on Highway 99 near Stockton Boulevard in Elk Grove.
The California Highway Patrol dispatch team said the accident took place on Sunday night. Officers reported the wreck at about 8:11 p.m.
According to CHP, several vehicles including the motorcycle rider became involved in the incident. The collision happened on the northbound side of Highway 99, just south of Stockton Boulevard, in Elk Grove.
Multiple Vehicles Involved in Collision
Firefighters along with the paramedics soon arrived at the scene and found the motorcyclist hurt on the right hand shoulder. The patient sustained major injuries as a result of the wreck.
Medical personnel then took the victim to a hospital for treatment. Officials did not release the name of the wounded party and their condition at this time.
Meanwhile, CHP did not mention if any other driver sustained injury or if they stopped following the incident. The cause of the Elk Grove crash still under investigation.
Officers forced the northbound lanes of Highway 99 to shut down after the collision.
