Emilas Acosta-Montoya Fatally Struck by Vehicle Near Euclid Avenue Overpass Saturday
Upland, CA (April 3, 2021) – 72-year-old Emilas Acosta-Montoya died following a pedestrian accident on the Interstate 215 Freeway Friday morning.
According to the San Bernardino County Sheriff’s Department, a vehicle struck an individual in the eastbound side of I-215 Freeway. The horrible crash took place just east of the Euclid Avenue overpass in Upland. At the moment, the make and model of the car involved in the catastrophic incident remained unclear.
Deadly Pedestrian Accident in Upland, April 3
Emergency teams arrived at the site shortly after 8:40 a.m. Paramedics reportedly performed life-saving measures to the pedestrian but she sadly succumbed to her injuries and died at the scene. Authorities identified the deceased as Emilas Acosta-Montoya, of Bellflower.
Meanwhile, no immediate information was available on the driver involved in the tragic collision.
Detectives assigned to handle the case continue to investigate the precise circumstances that led to the deadly pedestrian accident in Upland.
