Emily Salgado, 26, Killed in Victorville Pedestrian Crash on D Street
VICTORVILLE, CA (September 9, 2022) – Emily Salgado was killed after a pedestrian crash on D Street in Victorville.
Police identified the 26-year-old woman as the victim of the fatal collision which took place last week on Tuesday.
The incident happened when Emily Salgado was walking across in the eastbound No. 1 lane of D Street in the city of Victorville. For an unknown reason, a silver 4-door Chevy sedan struck her.
Police said the car hit the person between the intersections of 11th Street and Stoddard Wells Road. The Victor Valley News wrote that the collision occurred on August 30 at about 7:31 a.m.

Emily Salgado sustained serious injuries as a result of the pedestrian accident. Firefighters along with the paramedics arrived and soon pronounced her dead at the scene.
Meanwhile, police added that the driver of the sedan stopped and stayed at the site after hitting the victim. Officers forced a stretch of D Street to shut down for a time following the incident.
The cause of the Victorville pedestrian crash is still under investigation. Family members set up a GoFundMe page help cover the funeral expenses of the woman.
