Encino: Fatal Motorcycle Crash on 101 Freeway

Rider Killed in Collision Near Sepulveda Basin

Encino, CA (February 22, 2023) – One person died following a traffic accident that occurred on the Interstate 101 Freeway February 21, Tuesday, the Los Angeles Fire Department reported.

Our sources indicated a man riding a motorbike collided with an SUV near the Sepulveda Basin in Encino. Additional details on the description of the car involved in the wreck have not been revealed thus far.

Deadly Motorcycle Accident in Encino

Shortly after 8 p.m., emergency crews arrived at the crash site. First responders found the rider pinned underneath the SUV. Firefighters worked extensively to free the victim, but they sadly succumbed to their injuries and passed away. The identity of the deceased remained undisclosed pending confirmation and notification of next of kin.

Detectives assigned to handle the case stayed at the scene the whole evening. They continue to investigate exactly how and why then horrible crash happened on 101 Freeway in Encino.
