At Least 1 Hurt in Collision Near Ashe Road
Bakersfield, CA (May 7, 2022) – Police identified 31-year-old Eric Miles as the suspect in the hit-and-run crash that occurred on Ming Avenue on May 3, Tuesday.
The Bakersfield Now published an article online reporting a car accident that occurred in the area near Ashe Road. Preliminary investigation revealed an SUV collided into a Jeep on Ming Avenue. The crash took place at about 8:45 p.m.
When emergency crews arrived at the site, they found an injured female occupant in the Jeep. Rescue teams extricated the woman, then treated her moderate injuries. Personal information on the victim remained undisclosed pending confirmation.

Meanwhile, the driver of the SUV apparently fled the scene. Officials identified the hit-and-run suspect as Eric Miles. Authorities continue to gather information to locate the suspect wanted for vehicular manslaughter with gross negligence; hit-and-run causing death; and driving with a suspended license from a prior DUI.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
