Woman, 48, Fatally Struck by Vehicle at Sepulveda Avenue and Baseline Street Wednesday
San Bernardino, CA (October 9, 2021) – Esmeralda Maldonado, a 48-year-old woman, died following a pedestrian accident that occurred in the area of N Sepulveda Avenue and E Baseline Street.
The Fontana Herald News reported a vehicle struck a female party at the busy San Bernardino intersection on October 6, Wednesday. The make and model of the car involved in the horrible crash remained unknown at this time.

Shortly after 7:25 p.m., rescues teams arrived at the location. First responders found the pedestrian with serious injuries. According to the article published online, paramedics rushed the victim to St. Bernardine Medical Center. Despite life-saving measures, the woman succumbed to her injuries and died around 7:56 p.m.
The San Bernardino County Sheriff Coroner’s Division confirmed the identity of the deceased as Esmeralda Maldonado.
Further investigation on the case is ongoing.
