Eugene Gragg, 67, Killed in Crash at Highway 120 and Rushing Hill Lookout
TUOLUMNE COUNTY, CA (August 26, 2022) – Eugene Gragg was killed after a crash at Highway 120 and Rushing Hill Lookout Road.
The California Highway Patrol identified the 67-year-old Modesto man as the victim of the fatal wreck which took place on Monday.
The incident happened when Eugene Gragg was riding a a 2003 Harley-Davidson Road Glide west on Highway 120, approaching the Rushing Hill Lookout Road turnaround.
At the same time, a 2005 Chevrolet Silverado carrying live bees was going north on the turnaround. For an unknown reason, the pickup truck then crossed westbound Highway 120 to go to a property in the area.
Motorcycle and Car Collide
In the process, the motorcyclist collided with the Chevrolet. The rider ended up ejected from his motorcycle as a result of the collision.
The Union Democrat and My Mother Lode wrote that the accident occurred on August 22 shortly before 10 p.m. in the Jamestown area.
Eugene Gragg died at the scene of the crash. CHP added that the driver of the Silverado did not sustain any injuries following the wreck.
The motorist, 62-year-old Oakdale resident Ronald Ray Woods, stayed at the site after the incident. The cause of the collision is still under investigation.
