Pedestrian Ezequiel Zepeda, 73, Killed in Chico Crash at Highway 32 and 8th Street

CHICO, CA (February 28, 2023) – Ezequiel Zepeda was killed after a pedestrian crash at Highway 32 and 8th Street in Chico.

Police identified the 73-year-old Chico man as the victim of the fatal accident which took place last week on Friday.

The incident happened when Ezequiel Zepeda was crossing Highway 32 at the intersection of East 8th Street in the city of Chico. Police said for an unknown reason, a vehicle struck him.

The Chico Enterprise-Record and ABC 7 News wrote that the collision occurred on February 24 at about 6:15 p.m. Paramedics arrived and then found the victim down on the ground.

Ezequiel Zepeda soon died at the scene of pedestrian accident. Meanwhile, officers forced the area of Highway 32 and 8th Street to shut down for a time following the incident.

The cause of the Chico pedestrian crash is still under investigation. Anyone with information can call the police at 530-895-4911.
